Unmatched ruggedization, integration & customization

The ROCKY DA5-M fully rugged PDA is unsurpassed infunctionality, connectivity & expandability, offering the unique opportunity for third-party hardware integration such as DAQ cards.

With endless customization possibilities and state-of-the-art functionality, the ROCKY military grade, fully rugged PDA provides military personnel with one of the most powerful handheld computing solution on the market.

For the most challenging military missions, the ROCKY DA5-M fully rugged PDA is the handheld platform of choice for leading integrators.

Here are just three of its many applications:

Biometric Identification

The DA5-B is a handheld biometric device that's a solution, not a problem. Designed for facial recognition as well as fingerprint & barcode scans, this fully-rugged PDA supports real-time, remote IDS and bookings.

Featuring a 2-megapixel facial recognition camera and a 500dpi optical fingerprint scanner, the DA5-B is certified to NIST/ISO, ANSI and FBI/PIV standards. Wireless connectivity options include 802.11 (b / g), Bluetooth and GPS.

 Counter Mortar Detection

The ROCKY DA5-M PDA has been integrated by SRCTEC, a nationally recognized leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced radar, Electronic Warfare (EW), as the Operational Control Unit (OCU) for their Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar System (LCMR for short).

Countering the mortar and rocket threat to isolated forward operating bases, the LCMR is versatile, effective, and tactically mobile by helicopter or most types of vehicles. With a crew of just two, it has a minimal footprint on logistics at isolated bases. Targets located have been successfully handed off to a variety of strike systems, including guns, mortars, aircraft and attack helicopters, each of which requires a different sensor-to-shooter communications link.

 Communications

Whether monitoring supply inventory at a remote base or transferring sensitive information to headquarters, field operations must be executed in a secure, reliable, and timely manner. That is why ROCKY DA5-M PDA has the most advanced wireless options available today.

Combining a multitude of wireless options with a ruggedness second-to none, our PDA easily meets the demanding standards of maritime missions. No wonder it was chosen as the shipboard communications and network interface for US Navy's 21st Century multi-mission destroyer, the DDG 1000.
